Murder Mystery Dinners 2024

The Woman’s Club of Clayton will host two seatings of a Murder Mystery Dinner fundraiser on Friday, January 12, 2024 and Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the TWCC clubhouse, 109 Church Street. The murder mystery will be enacted by Clayton Drama Club. Participants will enjoy a delicious meal and will actively participate in determining who is the murderer. Taste of Carolina

Congratulations to Manning’s Restaurant for winning the People’s Choice Award at the Woman’s Club of Clayton (TWCC) major fundraiser, Taste of Carolina, held on March 18th at the Farm at 42. First runner-up for People’s Choice was Caribbean Delight Restaurant. The dining event showcased the best food from local restaurants, all in one location. Those attending sampled “taste-size” portions from the restaurants’ menus and participants voted on a People’s Choice award for their favorite restaurant. In addition, judges from Wake Technical Culinary Arts determined specialty award winners as follows: Most Original – Vinson’s Pub & Eatery; Best Dessert – Festejos Mexican Grill & Bar; Best use of Local Ingredients – Low and Slow Smokehouse; Best Presentation – Kobe Japanese Steakhouse and Yi Gi Asian Foods. Other participating restaurants were Neuse Country Club’s 918 Bar & Grill, Skylines Cafe & Bar, Nina’s Restaurant & Bar, and Simple Twist. Participants also enjoyed a Silent Auction, DJ Mike Brock, dancing, and 50/50 Raffle.

TWCC is so grateful for the community support of this event. There were 27 local businesses that purchased sponsorships and numerous restaurants, local businesses and individuals contributed items for the Silent Auction as listed on the attached program for the Taste of Carolina. Total funds raised exceeded $25,000!

Murder Mystery Dinners 2023

Murder Mystery Dinner – The Woman’s Club of Clayton hosted two seatings of a Murder Mystery Dinner fundraiser on Friday, January 13, 2023 and Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the TWCC clubhouse, 109 Church Street. The murder mystery was enacted by Clayton Theatricals and music was provided by the Claytones. Each evening the sellout crowd enjoyed a delicious meal and actively participated in determining who was the murderer.

Small Town Gala 2022

The club’s major fundraiser was held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Farm at 42. The event featured a catered buffet, cash bar, music, dancing, and a Reverse Raffle with a grand prize totaling $10,000.00. Additionally, many ‘second chance’ prizes were awarded throughout the evening. Funds raised from this event play an integral role in the continued success of our organization and will be used to fund community-based projects and scholarships.

The Woman’s Club of Clayton Events Held at Main Street Community Garden

During 2021, The Woman’s Club of Clayton, in partnership with Main Street Community Garden, transformed the Main Street Community Garden into a wonderful playground for kids during Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Thousands have visited the garden during these special events.

Spring Fling Brunch & Fashion Event

The Woman’s Club of Clayton held this fundraiser on March 7, 2020 at Brick & Mortar, 217 E. Main Street, Clayton. Guests enjoyed a wonderful brunch, lovely spring fashions presented by Belk’s, additional fashion displays from Dylan’s, Yellow House and Unique Gifts by Jacquelynn, silent auction, door prizes and fun! Small Town Gala Fundraiser 2019

Small Town Gala: Honoring Clayton’s 150 Years – A Fall Fundraiser: The Woman’s Club of Clayton hosted the first ever “Small Town Gala” which was held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Farm at 42. Funds raised from this event play an integral role in the continued success of our organization and will be used to fund community-based projects in our town of Clayton. This year a major portion of the funds raised will go to the Clayton Community Recreational Foundation:Harmony Playground and Christmas Kids Project (a joint project of The Woman’s Club of Clayton and Clayton Civitan Club).

The event featured a catered buffet, cash bar, music, dancing, a Casino Night, Diamond Dip, and a Reverse Raffle with grand prize totaling $10,000.00. Additionally, many ‘second chance’ prizes were awarded throughout the evening. The event was very successful and we want to thank all of the organizations and individuals who purchased sponsorships.
