Women of all ages, backgrounds, and interests work together to make their communities, their state, and their nation a better place in which to live. Any woman who desires the opportunity for the fellowship and fulfillment that come from volunteering is welcome.
Anyone interested in learning more about TWCC is welcome to attend a monthly meeting. Interested women have the option to attend a monthly lunch meeting or, for members who are unable to attend daytime meetings, there is a group, the Night’N’Gals. Depending on level of interest, they may meet in the evening.
- Daytime lunch meetings are normally held the second Wednesday of each month, September through May at the TWCC clubhouse at 109 Church Street in downtown Clayton. Please arrive by 11:45am and the meeting begins promptly at Noon. Regular meetings are not held in June, July or August. Any changes to the dates/times will be posted on the website’s Home Page.
- The Night’N’Gals may meet September through May, depending on level of interest. Regular meetings are not held in June, July or August. If meetings will be held, meeting information will be posted on website’s Home Page. Please use the “Contact Us” page on this website to request further information.
Women interested in becoming a member must complete a short application (below) and pay the annual dues of $55. In addition, members planning on attending the daytime lunch meetings must pay a $30 assessment to help cover the cost of meals. The majority of dues paid at the local level are sent to the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of North Carolina, Inc (GFWC-NC). In turn, GFWC-NC remits a portion of the dues to the international organization, General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC). Therefore, members of TWCC are also members of GFWC-NC and GFWC.
